"Real Estate Broker, Rebecca Cucovatz, has been serving the community for almost 20 years. A self-proclaimed entrepreneur, she was a real estate investor for many years before becoming a licensed real estate agent and broker. Her very first office was a quaint old yellow farmhouse on Preston road just south of Hwy 380 at Rockhill Rd. As Rebecca’s business grew and her reputation spread, One Plus Realty became synonymous with the “Little Yellow House” everyone had come accustomed to seeing. When she began to outgrow that space, they moved to their current location on Broadway less than a block from downtown Prosper. The old 17th-century house was renovated with office space and painted the signature yellow, of course.
The Little Yellow House is a genuine reflection of One Plus Realty where the kitchen table is the conference table. The floors are squeaky and Penny, Rebecca’s dog, is always nearby. It’s the kind of atmosphere that’s comforting and relaxed which is very much how Rebecca wants it to be. It’s Rebecca’s “servant’s heart” that is the backbone of One Plus Realty. She stands by the philosophy that the more you serve your clients, the more successful you will be. Every client gets the same level of service and respect. It’s the simple things like returning phone calls the same day they are received and keeping clients informed about the details of their transaction. As a family-owned business, Rebecca’s goal has always been to develop lifelong relationships with her clients, and many of them have become friends. As a result, Rebecca has worked with several generations of her clients.
One Plus Realty is very active in Prosper and supports the local food pantry, Bethlehem Place. After working with them for many years, Rebecca’s team found out that many of the families that Bethlehem Place supports also have pets; however, the pantry does not stock food for pets. That’s how their non-profit Penny’s Pals started. Penny’s Pals, named after Rebecca’s dog, donates pet food and supplies to Bethlehem Place now so that every member of the family is properly fed.
Rebecca has the experience and knowledge necessary consulting with home sellers on that to do to get the most out of your investment. Over the years, Rebecca has identified that an updated kitchen and master bath will definitely help sell your home the fastest. These are the two rooms buyers look at most closely.
Even if you don’t plan on selling your home anytime soon, she recommends doing one small upgrade or refresh to your home each year. Upkeep is an easy way to maintain the value of your home and ultimately get the most out of your investment when you decide to sell."
