A Few Things that Helps a House be a Home
Moms, you’re the reason our houses feel like homes. It’s the little things you do every day that make a space feel warm, lived in, and loved. So today, this is for you. If a corner feels a little empty or the lighting feels a bit too harsh, here are a few simple touches that can help bring more comfort, calm, and ease into your home.
1. Layered Lighting - Mix overhead, lamps, and accent lighting to create a space that not only looks good, but actually feels good. For that perfect, homey balance, stick to 3500K bulbs for a clean, warm glow that works in every room.

2. Natural Layers - Here are a few plants that can really bring your home together. 🌿 Keep in mind to use pots with drainage holes and a dish underneath to catch excess water. When watering, it’s best to take the plant off the dish, water it outside or in a sink, let it fully drain, and then place it back onto the dish once it’s done dripping.
Snake Plant – Thrives on neglect and can grow in direct or low to no sunlight. It can grow up to 2–4 feet tall indoors, making it a great low-maintenance statement plant for any space.

ZZ Plant – Although not pet friendly, it’s a plant that barely needs to be watered (about once or twice a month). It does well in very low sunlight and is extremely easy to care for. It can grow up to 2–3 feet tall indoors.

Fiddle Leaf Fig Tree – Water every 1–2 weeks and keep in bright, indirect sunlight. It prefers higher humidity and more consistent care. When happy, it can grow up to 6–10 feet tall indoors, making it a true statement piece.

Peace Lily – Needs to be watered regularly and kept out of direct sunlight, as the leaves can burn easily. It’s known for its elegant white blooms and can grow up to 2–4 feet tall indoors, depending on conditions.
